Cody, there are lots of people here on vt that like to try to help each other but you need to give some hint or clue as to what your problem is otherwise how is anyone going to know if they can help?

Many of us will also be reluctant to pm someone that we haven't heard of before.

I suggest you search the threads for old topics similar to whatever problem you have and then see who gave helpful advice. You can then choose to pm that person with a question.

Agreed, if anything, just put it on the forums. No one here will make fun of you. Even if they do, someone will report it and the moderator will do something about it. Don't be shy on the internet. This isn't your real life situation. I've told so much about myself on this forum than outside already, and im a shy person.. :) However, since you want it private, we can do that as well.

You guys are right though he should just ask his question here and get a variety of advice from the forum members.

You should really just post your question in a new thread. We are all here to help you (well, most of us) and we will not judge you. Posting your topic in a new thread is a good way to get multiple answers from others. It is more helpful to get advice from multiple people appose to a select few who may or may not know what they are talking about. If you still do not feel comfortable, then I guess personal messaging is a good alternative. You should really try to post it in a new thread though. We will not judge you.

Nobody here is going to judge you, and my recommendation is that you post your question as we are here to help. No one is going to make fun or you or make you feel bad as that is not what we are about here. The fact remains is that we are all here to assist each other through our doubts.

I agree with the others that with your being new folks might be reluctant to PM you. Your best bet is to post your question here, and if someone around here has posted an answer you felt was satisfactory, then you have the freedom to communicate with him.


As a blanket statement about body hair it can be hard to get it when one is young, and it is equally hard not to have it when everyone else gets it. There is no norm when it comes to body hair as it varies by one's ethnicity, and genes, and some guys just are hairier than others. Generally speaking folks from southern Europe, the Middle East, and South Asia tend to get hairy whereas their northern European, East Asian, and African counterparts tend to be much less hairy. Remember, whether or not you have hair really doesn't affect your masculinity.

Finally, if you are getting hair and are afraid about how your family and friends will react remember that it is normal to get hair for guys. If anyone makes comments, then they are just noticing your development which can be embarrassing but not necessarily a bad thing.
