Hi,
At the moment I am wanting to work on my muscles a bit. Has anyone got any suggestions of ways to work my muscles, for ex. 100 push ups when you wake up. Things like that, cuz I have no idea what works and what doesn't.

Thnx:D

Eat right and exercise. Don't start off exercising too much though, you will pull a muscle, or worse, ans it won't help at all.

As far as im aware building muscle at a young age is bad for the body in future life. So dont go over board trying to look like the wrestlers or anything just a little regular exercise is all you need

Eat right and exercise regularly. Exercising regularly doesn't necessarily mean going to the gym every day and lifting weights. It can be something as simple as going for a walk or run when you get up in the morning or when you get home from school. At 14, you shouldn't be too worried yet about building muscle mass. As you get into your later teen years and beyond, you may decide to do that, but right now I think you should just focus on eating nice healthy meals and exercising regularly.

I would consult a professional for help. As with any sport or in any martial art, you should consult a professional before trying anything on your own. You do not want to hurt yourself. If you can not seek professional aid, you should at least read up on it by searching for things on google.

Well, you can lift weights in the morning just make sure you take more time to warm up and stretch your body before you start lifting weights.

There are lots of work out out there. If you want to start out my doing lots of push ups like you said in your question that would work just fine.

One thing to remember while lifting weights is you are going to be sore until your body gets used to you working out. If you don't have slight pain or soreness in your muscles then you are not working your muscles hard enough.

If you want more information PM me.

I could probably write tonnes, it's a lifestyle of passion for me. I wouldn't know where to start, the advice you've received isn't too bad - it will get you started for sure. Good luck. Feel free to PM me though about anything in particular. You're asking very broad questions.

Talk to any expert and they'll tell you this is one of the biggest myth. And wrestelers are generaly non-bulky because they have to be quick and strong, so their muscle is smaller and strong.

Eat right and exercise. Don't start off exercising too much though, you will pull a muscle, or worse, ans it won't help at all.
QFT. You CAN'T expect to be able to do heavy weights if you've just started. You've got to work up

Yes, but taking a walk won't help you build muscle.

HOWEVER: You do need cardio too, because you'll loose fat, while lifting you don't (or at least not alot)
At 14, you shouldn't be too worried yet about building muscle mass. As you get into your later teen years and beyond, you may decide to do that, but right now I think you should just focus on eating nice healthy meals and exercising regularly.
yes/no. While huge muscle mass generally shouldn't be your ultimate goal (most 'body buildes' are on steroids, which fuck with everything else), there's NOTHING wrong with wanting to be in shape and strong

If you're on about competitive bodybuilders, then yes, steroids, plus HGH, diuretics, amongst some other things are common for them to be using. However, a casual bodybuilder won't always be on drugs to get bigger. Like myself. That's a misconception with bodybuilding and weight training, all it is, is where you don't quite have the knowledge about the topic. Instead you'd choose to stereotype a group of people. I could make the same 'mistake' by saying everybody who stays in a caravan MUST be a gypsy, everybody who's black MUST like rap/hip hop and any turkish guy working in the UK MUST work in a kebab house - these are stupid generalisations that people have about certain groups. Yet when you take time to mix with a group, you find out there's much more about it that you first thought.

Everybody has their goals, I was helping a guy train with me and some others who hasn't trained much before, yet wants to one day get to the level of a pro bodybuilder. People with big goals go far in life, they always have focus on something and keep on learning. Arnold Schwarzenegger is a prime example of this, in whatever he's set his mind to - bodybuilding, film, politics.

I was, actually, referring to the huge ones that are begining to look semi unhuman and do it as a profession for competition....

also, quick note
for ex. 100 push ups when you wake up.
Do you realize how many that really is? Overdoing something isn't going to make you stronger, and if you're just starting you really shouldn't, and proably can't, do it

dude if you can do 100 push ups when you wake up your either not doing them right or fukin arnie lol when your young it's good to invest in a steel bunk bed as you can use it as a pull up machine which is what i used to do, press ups are good too and don't forget sit-ups if your doing home exercises... i used to do that every day before shower then bed. Gyming is so much better.... hope it helps:)

Then it that case you're right for sure, I think you could classify 'freak' as Paul Dillett, Markus Ruhl, Nasser El Sonbaty, etc. Clearly not drug free.
