Tap, tap, tap.
The knocking at the door,
The nightmare unfolds quickly and quietly
Rushing through the walls
Leaving them gasping for air
Whispering your name in your ears
The room is spinning,
Pushing and shoving,
Pulling and tugging it’s way into your brain,
Pushing the knife into your hand
Shoving it at your neck
Fight back, don’t let it win!
Courage pacing through your veins
To win
To not give up
Beat your inner demons that hold onto your soul
Turning it black and hazy
Slow and lazy
Pushing back,
Throw it out of your hand
Fight rip yourself free from this hold
Turn away run for the door
Tears running down your face
Slowing in pace
Reach the door, open it,
Just to find a empty space,
Another displace

And jump!

Landing on your feet
