Hey, I got a fairly new computer ( maybe 2 years old) and I only got 512MB of RAM. Do you suggest I upgrade it to 1Gig?

If you can, definitely try to upgrade. You won't believe the performance boost it can give you. When I upgraded from 256MB to 1GB, my computer loaded faster, applications ran better, and gaming was actually an experience to behold 8)

Heh, in my old computer, I had integrated graphics as well and 32MB went to the VRAM, so my RAM was really limited. But then I got the GeForce 6600GT and 1GB of Dual Channel 400MHz RAM. I can't even remember what 20FPS looks like anymore

the really annoying thing is that i dont get any money off my parents (fair enough they pay gor my fone) but everyone else i know gets money to spend on clothes, music and everything but i never get money to spend... i so i cant buy upgrades or new games.. and its not as if we are poor either... anyway enough of the rant :D

I have to wait until my birthday (although last time I got nothing... not even happiness... but another story for another time) or Christmas to roll around before I can get anything over $50 of value. Not to say that I can normally buy anything under $50 whenever I want, but my parents might actually consider it if it's within that range :?

Sell your existing stick and buy a dual channel set of 1gb.

Dual Channel > everything else
