It can be based on what you see around school, what you see outside of school, work, magazines, TV, anything..

Currently the latest fashion where I am are sequin tops. I went to town this morning and got myself one, then I came home and read/saw it all in a magazine :)

Currently I'm favoring skinny jeans with vests and scarves, babydoll tops with fancy knitting or stichng at the top, and anklecut highheels with buttons or laces.

swiss people have horrible taste in clothes... the teens wear all black, and the adults wear all hiking clothes!!
but at school ive noticed skinny jeans, with tanks and vests, sequins, scarves as accessories, ankle boots, and also short shorts with summer tops... lots of diversity though

Currently where I am - the fashion trend is school uniform which consists of matching Jacket, trousers/skirt, crazy tights/socks, BIG necklaces, and the biggest heels you can get away with!

Well for me pretty much everyone has Converse or DCs. But Converse has been in style since the 50s. =P Other than shoes each group has thier own styles. Emos are wearing black clothes from thrift stores, preps are wearing American Eagle and Aeropostale, skaters are wearing West 49 etc.

Everybody wears fucking Polo. It's so random, I don't wear Polo, I wear American Fucking Eagle. XD Polo is so stupid. Hur dur, let's wear A shirt that has a polo symbol, polo shorts, polo socks, and polo shoes. That's not weird at all. It's so annoying, but whatever floats their boat.

I'll describe the majority of people where I live. From top to bottom. A hat that is wayyy to big for the persons head, sunglasses that sit way low on the nose so they're like olb mans reading glasses, gold chains and whatnot, baggy shirts, preferably Ecko Unltd., any brand of baggy pants, and some basketball style shoes, but not, they're weird.

There's also a fair amount of the standard skater or emo kids. And many hipsters, everywhere you look.

same here. element, volcom, fox racing, dc, etc. are what I normally see on skaters and then there's hollister, abercrombie, american eagle, aeropostale, etc. on the preppy kids. i normally wear clothes from both sides since I like them :D i used to wear a lot of etnies shoes but now i wear sandals from teva because it's a lot more comfortable. i wear my etnies if the weather sucks though.

The majority of people here have been on the same trend for 4 years now.
But plaid is kinda a trend, so are skinnys, and those ugly brown moccasin shoes.
Purple has yet to catch on, and I hope it dosent, because being half Indian, I look pretty good in purple.

Theres 2 trends in my school: the preppy which is american eagle and sperrys (gag) and the other ppl skinny jeans and t-shirts

Skinny jeans, basically the "jerkin" style. You know, bright colors, skate shoes. Then there's American Eagle and Abercrombie and such for the preppy people.

It's the SoCal coast, so the general style is pretty casual. Almost anything goes.

I do see some trends of course, and the most common are skinny jeans. Another big one is shoes; most wear either Converse or sandals. Other than those kinds of more specific items, though, there's no one style that really encompasses the majority of people that I see.

Most of my friends are big into hunter jumpers and have done most of the big shows at the Kentucky horse Park this season and pink/purple/lilac shirts have been big with them. I like them and if they are ok at the big A shows, they should be good anywhere. A navy or charcoal grey jacket would be ideal.

I answered on this before but I wanted to add something else...UGGs. Everyone's wearing them where I am,and I am too. I have 3 pairs; 2 short pairs [black and chestnut] and a tall chocolate pair. =] They're the warmest, most comfortable boots I have ever worn.

damn i seem to be goin a** backward im wearin baggy dark anchor blue jeans in 31-30, a random or rely of beat DC or vans or some volcom but its usualy a blue, or green or black T-shirt. and a pair of size 13 DC's (skate shoes make my foot look smaller) and a FOX racing saquatch style #45113 with a poleyseter thread fur like inside and in Daly City (the main reason for the DC shirt and shoes) its been a style setter. everyone at school is wearin skinny jeans and a emo shirt and they freeze to death all day (were less than a mile away from the pacific ocean so LOTS OF FOG) and all the girls are wearin something tight like skinny jeans (the only way they are aceptably worn (they rely make my girls legs look good :D) and a rely tight top (also awesome on girls) and i am the one who is warm in the 40 odd degree weather laughing at every one else.
