Sooo, this is a thread where you can post your favourite photographer, or in my case, your current favourite set of photographs.
Currently, I have two favourites:
The first is 'because the darkness feeds my soul' by Gary Slota.
He takes one/two line sentences and transforms them into a storytelling photograph.
This is the type of photography that I am VERY interested in, and would like to experiment with.
I have no online photos of this set, they are in my Aperture magazine.
If you'd like, you can go here to see one small photo from his body of work: http://www.aperture.org/aperture-196.html#two
My second current favourite is called 'crawl' by Sally Gall.
This is the type of photography that I have been doing; macro, bugs, nature up close.
this is extremely interesting to me because she moves away from her older more traditional landscapes and garden scenes,
and moves into that up close, not perfectly in focus, yet moving sense of perspective.
It is located here: http://www.wipnyc.org/blog/sally-gall
I thought this might be a nice addition to the photography forum. :]
post yours. gogogogo.
