Why is it awkward?

Often i read about how trying somthing with a mate could make something awkward (if they are the same sex.) Now, i am Bi and i have been made to feel really awkward by girls for asking them out, and them ALWAYS saying no, and i have never tried asking a guy out, but surley it can't be MORE awkward than that. Especially if the friend is also Bi / gay?

I am not sure because i am not wanted enough to have ever had the chance to a proper relationship with a guy or gal. So i am not criticising other posters, just asking a question.

Its only as awkward as you think. If they say no you just move on. But if it's a friend might not be that easy.
