Show Real name on Postbit

It's far more convenient to see someone's name besides their post rather than going to their profile to do so. It's possible to put it in to say Real Name : namefield

For example, on ETF, under avatars if the user has submitted a name it will say "Call me namefield" which comes up as Call me Jon for me :)

It's a good idea. I think the postbit is already pretty cluttered though. Especially for those who have blogs.. there's lots of info there.

We already have a decent amount of postbits and people can just put them in their sigs if they want. Still it's a good idea though.

I like the idea. Because if you're on a slow connection and you have to go to someone's profile and find their name then come back to the thread, it could take time.

And, if I'm not mistaken, I think Gov has this? :P

I think its a good idea, I always look at profile to find a person's real name. They still have the option of not giving a name if they are concerned about privacy.

I just realized alot of people have thier full name and it could get dangerous since it's no only in profiles where guests can't view but now everywhere where anyone can view. So maybe like they should be contacted or it should be edited out of there profile.

If you spot any profiles with any personal identifying information that can be harmful you can always PM the person or contact me or Steph.

Wow, that explained a lot. For a second,I thought I was completely oblivious thinking, "Since when have they allowed you to put your name???"
Very cool. This makes me smile, but Thomas has a point about it getting dangerous. However, if you put your full name, you should be ready to accept consequences.
