Tom Daley, the diving world champion, achieved an A* in a GCSE that he took a year early despite studying the course for just ten days.

Tom, 15, took the combined science exam in June, 12 months before he was due to sit the test with his class mates. He had to learn the full syllabus in ten days because of his busy training schedule.

The people want blood! And in all honesty, I could care less about Tom Daley. 'Tis probably not very good of me, but I never got much out of hearing about other people's achievements.
