Me and my Dad don't get along.

Ok let's say I am a lighter, and my dad is a piece of wood. We're both fine and nice and not mean. But when either piece sparks, the reaction happens. If i say something that my dad thinks is mean he gets pissed off at me and dunks me in the pool or yells at me making me cry. And if he does something i get pissed off, but i can't do anything except have a 4 hour grudge and get on with it. How do we get along? He is gone at work all the time, and when he's home he plays with his I-Touch. Im on the Computer 24/7. Any help or suggestions? thanks a ton.

That is simply life. You can try to only talk about subjects that both of you agree on, that will help. And I know what its like having father that is always working; my dad is always traveling all over the world or on his laptop doing work.

It will be like that for a few years, it was for me, and it will probably get better over time.

I don't think there's any best sollution... Or, you can have a deep, honest talk with him... Say that you and him can get along, but he has to make an effort too.
