Videos on youtube dont help cuz you dont know if there acctally moving it. id like to invite some friends over and try it but idk if i should have a friend be in on it as the "medium" or if i should just let it go by its self.. any info is great. thanks!!!!

Ouija boards are great psychological tools. It's pretty easy to make someone believe something using them but it relies on the participants believing in it and ideally, not understanding what it actually is. It's a device that acts on the ideomotor action. What happens is as follows: a bunch of people gather around and they trust each other in that nobody is going to cheat or do something foolish that they're not supposed to. Once that is settled, everyone closes their eyes and a piece or two on the Ouija board moves due to them physically moving it. However, their unconscious is not entirely aware that they are moving it and the notion is that it is some spiritual thing moving it.

Usually you do it in the dark where it's silent so people are more likely to be scared there. You can have a spiritual medium if you wish to add to the effect.

It's a device that acts on the unconscious and ideomotor action. Some people may only have the notion that the Ouija board deals with something evil or whatnot but for it to work, you want people who do believe in the paranormal or are just plain unsuspecting and don't understand the psychological aspects behind it. If you get a bunch of people who know what to expect and know what it's about, then the whole thing is not going to be very effective.

I cannot put it any better than this. He mentioned the ideomotor effect and he mentioned how to work it. This is exactly what the Ouija board does.
