when you make good/useful posts, people will sometimes add to your reputation.

so...you get it by making good posts.

Rep is given to you by other members, say someone sees a post you did and they think it was great for one reason or another. They might give you rep for this. *in case of not knowing* To give rep, good or bad. You use the weight thingy (i have no club whats its called) that is under the member name. Next to the "v'' and next to the red thing *report*
They may, and most likely give a reason for it as well. You can see how much rep you have by going to your User CP. It is noted in the conner. :) Hope i am right. Others probly explain better.
