There's this other girl...

There's this other girl in my science class and in gym, who self-harms. I could see some words scratched into her arm, and she's always scratching the inside of her arms. I wanna help her stop, or at least talk to her about it, but idk how to break the ice. (btw we're already friends.) so...any suggestions?

If you want to talk to you, first, talk about how much you care about her. MAke her feel good. Then, gently bring it up and let her know that you care about her and just want to help her. She might resist at first, but, it will be a big deal to her to know that someone truly cares.

As addi says. And if she resistss or claims that you dont know how it feels. Tell her. There fore she will understand. I had a similar situation, i told someone i self harmed. She turned her arms over and there were lots of scars. Tell her that you care for her. And if you reveal your a self harmer. Then she will know you mean it

well whatever you say, remember she is goin to be scared and nervous if she decides to tell you about it. Also she will proberally try to deny it.
but make sure you handle it gently, its not goin to be easy for this girl.
