So lately I've had trouble with my computer lately. It just keeps freezing at random times and I have to restart it. I have an idea of what it might be. Ever since I installed uTorrent it's been doing this, but not very frequently. I just wanted to know why this is happening. Should I unistall uTorrent and then reinstall it, or should I just do something else?

You could try uninstalling uTorrent and then re-installing it. Are all of your drivers updated?

do a system restore before you installed utorrent then re-install it from the Official Utorrent site if you didn't get it there before.

I actually have Bittorrent now. It's still freezing, so I'll do a system restore and see if that works. How do you do a system restore anyway?

@Jack - I'm not sure if my drivers are up to date. I got this computer about a week ago, so I'm sure they are. If there is site that I can find out and get any updates, then that would be appreciated.

It's a memory leak in the current builds of uTorrent & BitTorrent. (Nothing the uT or BT guys can do though, it's a Windows issue, and I seriously doubt Microsoft will fix it for us torrent guys)
(Not sure on the BT path but here's the one for uTorrent...)
Go to 'Preferences', then expand 'Advanced' and click on 'Disk Cache'. Check both boxes to disable Windows caching of disk reads & writes. That will stop the memory leak, and prevent your computer from freezing.
Note, leave the rest of the checkboxes alone, only mess with the two bottom ones (The ones dealing with the Windows disk read/write caching)

Also, if you don't already, I recommend pressing the stop button after a torrent has reached 100%, keeps the usage of system resources down.

Yeah, no problem.

I had this issue also. It baffled me for the better part of a week trying to figure it out. :p

Well it's starting up again. Now one of the sites I download from is saying that my current transfers is that I am uploading 4 torrents and not downloading any. I don't even have my client on! Plus, the computer is starting to freeze. I'm beginning to think of switching to client other than Bit/uTorrent. This is getting frustrating.

That's very odd, and I cannot find anything of use here (http://forum.utorrent.com/viewforum.php?id=3) (Perhaps you may have better luck?).
Would it be possible for you to perform a system restore to before you installed uTorrent/BT?
Also, have you tried running uT/BT as an administrator?

Let me try to run BT as Administrator and see what happens. Thanks.
