I strangled a kid on my trip from bus stop to home

So, there was 2 kids older than me and a one kid 2 years younger than me(I´m 13) left on that bus stop. We started walking to our homes and we had the same way. So, this younger kid started trying to have a fight me. He first hit me in my stomach(didnt even hurt much). Those older kids shouted something like "younger kid is beating up an older one!". I seldom fight and when I do, I just go way too far. I started strangling this kid with one hand with all my strenght. Not sure for how long, but he didnt pass out or anything.. Then I stopped and let him go. He was crying and holding his throat.

Is it possible that he could sue me now or something?

He could get you charged with a criminal offense.
In this country you would get charged with either physical assault or actual bodily harm (ABH). Not sure what the equivalent is where you are.

Well you were defending yourself. However, They probably wouldn't believe you because he's younger than you, you would have to bring in the older kids. I would have just smacked him lol

I think it would be deemed as self defense in a situation like this if he used only the necessary force to stop the attack. But he went further than that so I'm not sure the whole self defense thing would apply.
