For the past 2 hours I've had trouble connecting to NETGEAR for internet and such. So I finally gave up and I'm currently connected through linksys. When I was connected to NETGEAR, I wasn't able to get on the internet or MSN. I checked the connection and I'm only connected to local (whatever that is) and not the internet. What's the problem? I'm currently running on Windows Vista 64-bit if that helps any.

It means the net gear router isn't getting an Internet connection try checking the cords or making sure it's connected right

it depends if its adsl or cable, if its adsll u need to make sure the line settings and login is correct, if its cable it should just detect the IP and connect

YOu may want to backup your settings from your netgear router...
can you go into the router's control panel?
