How should I do this

So there is this girl I have known since we were 4 and I just recently found that I really like her. Even when I have had the worst day when I talk to her I feel better almost instantly. And when I'm with her I just feel happy all the time, but I don't know how to tell her I feel that way about her cuz it would be really ackward and I don't know how she would take that. Any advice would be great

Don't say anything yet. Just give out signals if she signals back for whatever reason then you should ask her!

in this situation you need to weigh up your options. of course the ideal thing for you is for her to like you back, but you need to think about how it will affect your relationship with her now if she doesn't feel the same. firstly, sometimes a close friendship with someone like this can be better then a romantic relationship with the person, especially if you connect well with them. so you might want to think about whether just being friends would be the best thing for you. if you really think that you should take things further, then you should tell her directly how you feel and see what she thinks. but remember there is a lot of risk in that. i'm not trying to turn you off the idea but i am suggesting you think carefully about things first.
