I think its kinda stupid that they named the last one Leopard and this one Snow Leopard...I mean I love Snow Leopards but the names are too close.

I wont buy it

Even if I had a Mac, I wouldn't upgrade. I like Windows better anyway. Instead of releasing new operating systems, Windows puts it all in service packs which is way better than remaking the OS. I also agree with John. They named the last one Leopard, so why go with Snow Leopard? Too close in name.

Hmmm i see. I did have this whole big thing on about it but i didnt want to sound to up myself :P, and yer the names are a bit to close to each other. Also i wasnt sure if the "So why go with Snow leopard" was a question is so. They wanted it make it seem better then just a boring leopard so they added snow XD

Shows how cheap Apple is. Along with Windows of course.

I don't get why people pay for these kinds of things, they paid a premium for a Mac product in the first place, now they're being charged for simple performance upgrades? Get with the times. Go Linux. Upgraded every day and free to boot. xP

Its more than just a performance upgrade, it has new dock features, video screen capture, faster boot up, faster finder, frees 7 gb of space from the os scripting, better ichat, ect.

They called it snow leopard because it is a refinement of leopard and it focus on speed not features and that's why it is $30
i upgraded on day one and my mac book is X 2 as fast

Awesome

LMAO it might be true yes apple and window are cheap that way making you pay for an upgrade or the os x but i think, not too sure of this, that both linux and os x work with the same code base and the only difference is that the os x is sold with a computer too whereas linux can be installed in any computer, right? again not too sure about this… lol

Yah Linux can be installed on any computer, u just can download it or contact linux and they will mail u a CD with it on there. -Note- If it was a upgrade they would just put it on the net, and think about us people with small caps due to stupid people... =D plus i get it half price so i am even more happy. XD

That is starting an argument, which this thread is not for.

If I had a Mac, I would definitely upgrade, its only $29, so its worth it.
