I think this should go. I don't see a point to it, and if a user uses an underscore in their username, you can't really see it.

Its never really bothered me enough to care if it goes or not.

I think its fine. But if I could see what it would look like without....

If you hover over the name you can see it.

When you scroll your mouse over the name, the underline vanishes and you can see the underscore.

Personally, I haven't ever had a problem with it. Worst case scenario, click the name. You'll be presented with a list of options, including "Send a private message to _____", which will appear without an underline. If I wondered about an underscore, that's how I would do it, since the underline does not disappear for me when hovering over the name. It never has, actually, regardless of the theme I've used. I never knew it was apparently supposed to do that. o_0

Wow.
I thought about this but I learned that if there is a space, all I have to do is copy or hover and see if it is still there.

Its fine.

I think it depends on the browser that you're using.
On IE and FF, they colors are bolded under staff names,
But with Chrome, it's all regular underlining,
That may help a bit?

The reason it's underlined is to signify that it is a link that is accessible. It would appear to be plain text if it wasn't underlined.

Got a problem with the underscore? Never have a fear again! Visit the person's profile and be amazed at the ease of reading their username. Or if that gives you too much angst, try sending them a private message. That should help clear up any misconseptions.
