Atonement

Right, so for the last few weeks, I've been having a mild cough and sneezing fits. Now, this is summer and I've bene outdoors a lot, so I'm open to the idea of allergies, but lately, everytime I cough or sneeze, my sternum feels like someone is stabbing it with a katana. It killllllls. And I don't know what to do about it. I've taken anti-inflammatory inhalants that I have left over from a bout of bronchitis, but it didn't do terribly much. I'm rather concerned because my family has a high history of cancer and a few cases of recent bone and lung cancer which leads me to conclude. This is obiously worst case and me jumping to conclusions, but I really have no clue about it.
I don't really want to go to a doctor for a while more now because I tried pot for the first time a few weeks back and I want to wait a while to eliminate ALL chance of being caught by any tests in a doctor's office.

I would of thought the pot would of disapeared by now wouldn't it??
Anyway, you say your family has lung cancer in its history, but really people get that when they're older surely? That is the worst case that it could be, but i doubt it would be that.
You should go to the doctor really, IF its serious then its best to catch it early, but if its not then they can give you something to get rid of it and there's no problem. :)
And i'm not joking here, but have you thought of swine flu?
That involves a bad cough, i can't remember the rest, see if you can find a leaflet about it.
I'm just speaking out loud remember, I doubt it is, but its worth checking.

Is it a dry cough, like a tickle in your throat? Or is it a deeper, sort of "barking" cough? A deeper cough is definitely something to check out, especially if it feels like the coughs are trying to dislodge something in your chest. You probably experienced that kind of thing with the bronchitis, so you know what I'm talking about. Even a tickly cough is something to look at if it's been persisting so long. It could just be allergies, like you suggested, but even that won't go away until you decide that's what it is and do something for it. You can try over the counter allergy medications. Personally, I take Zyrtec, and I like it a lot. It doesn't make me drowsy or anything, and it really helps my allergy symptoms.
How often are you coughing? Is it often enough that your chest could be sore because of the coughing, rather than as a separate symptom? Often with things like pneumonia and bronchitis, which cause persistent coughs, the ribs and stomach muscles will get sore from all the coughing, but the sternum area can start to hurt too.

Think is, its not just coughing. Its sneezing too which leads me to allergies. I sneeze not too often, but when I do, it KILLS. And the coughs aren't like, barking, but they aren't exactly light. They are like, upper chest coughs.

The chemical THC, which is in marijuana can take up to 30 days to completely leave one's body.
