Invisibility has already been achieved by far inferior beings...
And invisibility would explain certain inexplicable phenomena.
It's nowhere near impossible... In fact it's one of the most plausible theories out there that just hasn't been fully proven and made into fact just yet.
If anything moves fast enough, it becomes invisible; impossible for the eye to see.
There are also other ways of achieving invisibility... You should read up on the color spectrum one day, you'd be surprised to learn that there are certain things we as human beings simply can't see... Therefore they are invisible to us... (Of course this is all theoretical, because how can we prove that something we can't see exists?)

Well, the wind is invisible. But as far as invisibility goes, there may be spectral lines and such, but objects themselves, invisible? We'd be able to feel it. :P
