well hear goes my mum gets me boxers but i prefer briefs i kno because my m8 gave me a pair of his to try and i like them so how do i tell her???????????

Agree with the other guys here, its no big deal. Just say you find briefs more comfortable, its not that embarassing really and she will be happy to get whatever you prefer. I agree btw, briefs are far more comfortable.

Why would she tell all of her friends? I dont think she would, or if you know that she would tell her friends just ask her to not. I dont really see why it should matter because as long as you are wearing clothes around that area, it shouldnt matter. Underwear is underwear and since you live in scotland (at least i think?) briefs are more widely used.

I would just go out and tell her, i mean... it is harder for most teenaged males to talk to their mothers about things that relate to puberty/genitalia/other problems. I dont think it should be weird or anything. Just think of it like asking your mom to get you some fruit. We all need fruit, you just want/prefer a certain type of fruit.
