For ages now i've bin trying to get a saturday job. I've asked in allsorts of places, hair dressers, cafe's, resteraunts (clearing up), green grocers and petrol station to wash cars and pizza shops. I'd really do ANY job. Some places took my name and number but they haven't got back to me. I could really do with some extra money and something to do to keep my mind off things, not just that but i've wanted a job since i was 13 i was obviously too young then. I'm 15 now and surely there must be some job i can do, does anyone have any ideas where else to ask please?

I know how you feel hun I've been looking for a good one for ages now.
But actually most places tend not to hire under 16's because of the paperwork you have a fill in.
The only thing you can do is get your CV out there as much as possible, this will make it much easier. Also apply for places like KFC and Mcdonalds, they are always hiring you just go onto a list and they just go down the list when they need to hire. :) (I was only told to do this the other week >.< ) Good luck hun.

I think one of the best ways to get a saturday job would to be use contacts if you can. Like say if any parents/family know of anybody that could give you a job perhaps? Just an idea. Contacts are useful, I got my job I'm at now through family contacts which I'm very lucky to get and I do enjoy. You've done really well though applying to the places you have! You may even hear something back. So think positive :)
When you are 16 I do agree that things may be easier for sure, fast food places are very easy to get jobs at, but people often aren't keen due to 'street cred' or whatever. But during teen years, money is money, right? If it's any concellation, I'm sure there's tonnes of other people that don't like their jobs whatever age they are lol. Besides fast food places, there's retail which will take you on. So keep on trying, something will eventually come up! :)
