So we all know gay is homosexual and straight is heterosexual but is there a short "name" for bisexual? Besides bi. It disturbs me how I have to say straight, gay, and bisexual.

Whats wrong with bi. Bi seems like a good short name.

Just because it comes from the real word. I'm picky. The slightest things disturb me. We should make up a word that spreads around the world and then everybody will use that instead. Sorry, I also think somewhat stupid thoughts alot.

Bi is the general term for being bisexual.

Bi is probably used because it's a catchy word with one syllable, like gay and straight. We don't shorten homosexual and heterosexual to homo and hetero because they're not as easy to roll off the tongue, but bi is a simple two letter word like if, if you get what I mean :P .

Bi is pretty much as short as you can go :D But I think bi is fine, don't know what else there is to call it....
