Public Showers

I went to the pool last weekend and when I went to shower and get changed, there was a guy in the showers. This particular pool dosent have cubicles, its just a big open shower in the changeroom.
So I started wondering if its okay to use open public showers if they are already being used by someone.

Is it? I don't have a problem with my body, I'm not asking because I'm insecure, but I just wondering if it will make other guys uncomfortable?

It is perfectly OK to use public showers. That is the purpose of them to take a shower. It is a very good idea to take a shower after swimming to get the chlorine off of your body.

Yes of course its ok no worry's mate. Some people mostly younger kids may get uncomfortable because there not used to seeing naked people shower but your fine mate

so long as you're not being sexual, no-one cares, there are no legal or etiquette issues, as has been said, a couple of younger people might be uncomfortable but it's fine - they won't say anything - don't worry.

It shouldnt matter. Just do what you have to do. If you have to take a shower, you have to take a shower... and if that is what is open/avaliable to you, go for it. There is no one there that has the right to be like "hey, you cant shower here!" (well, unless it is a female shower). If they have a problem with you, then maybe they shouldn't have been in there taking a shower in the first place.

It is called a "PUBLIC shower" and you have as much right as the next guy to use it. Therefore, you shouldn't be worried about making others uncomfortable if it is for the general public. It is ok to use it. Why not take advantage of something that is for the public when you need to use it?

Its perfectly Ok, I always shower after swiiming in a pool because if I dont wash my hair with shampoo it just looks a mess. You can keep your swim shorts/whatever on if it worries you, noone will care.

OK to use public showers. It is a very good idea to take a shower after swimming to get the chlorine off of your body. If you don't shower after swimming you can get rashes and it itches like CRAZY! i always take a shower after swimming, who cares right?!

It could be only a little ackeward, but if you really dont like to shower with them, you can alwars wait until you are home to do it in your own privacy

IF you were ryan it would be ok and understandable too.... it is ok to use a shower when you swim and if others are init u dont even have to be naked if you dont want to
