i for one am, interested to know if there's any others :)

I'm wondering why there aren't girls like yourself in England haha, after all without generalising, most girls have the attitude of "cage fighting, omg that's so bad, why would you want to watch that?!" - "it's horrible, argh!"
However when you look past all of that and can see the level of skill involved, it's awesome to watch, there's nothing like it. The only thing here is in England, is that I have to get up at 3am for every UFC ppv :( on the plus side, we don't have to pay for it :P
I'd love to start Muay Thai and/or Wrestling, here though it's just finding somewhere. Are you going to be watching UFC 102? :)

probably not :(... if its PPV i wont, if its on TV i probably will.
but that chance is really low... who's fighting? Was it Randy Couture vs. Nogueira ?
Because that looks epic.

Yeah I do doubt it, it's on PPV :( Nogueira vs Couture is correct, that is definitely epic, I know Nog had problems physically before the Mir fight, I'm personally hoping to see him beat Randy. Thiago Silva vs Keith Jardine and Demien Maia vs Nate Marquardt too, very interesting fights! :)

He's certainly somebody you can never count out, his whole career is based on being the underdog haha. I agree, as long as it's a good fight, I'm happy to see either man win, they're both legends of the sport after all. Besides, I think Nogueira has a better chance of beating Lesnar than Randy does.

I like to watch it. It is very fun to watch and very real compared to professional wrestling which takes a lot of talent but it is for entertainment purposes.

I'd like to watch a bit of the WEC, they've got some very talented guys, like Faber, Brown, Pulver, and they had some bigger guys like Paulo Filho (should have definitely gone onto the UFC instead).
I've been watching UFC for like 4 years or so, was into a lot of Pride stuff, and any other promotion that comes along like Strikeforce, Cage Rage, Affliction, Dream, etc.
Some big fights announced... Brock Lesnar vs Shane Carwin in Nov, co-headlined by Tito Ortiz's return against Mark Coleman. Shogun/Machida, Penn/Sanchez, etc. I could write essays haha, I don't want to bore people, I ramble on about MMA sometimes.
Any favourite fighters anyone?

I love UFC / Cage fighting. My favourite fighter of all time is Bas Rutten. He is a legend

Its not as big in the UK as it is in the USA though and finding places to train can be hard but they are out there so keep looking around.

Bas is the man, he's very funny with his commentary too when he commentated for Pride. It's hard to find places yeah, I'm in the UK also and I can find a good jiu jitsu place to train, but atm it's finding the time and somebody to be my main partner really. Money as well, as I'm already paying a gym membership.
My favourite fighters vary, I've got loads... Andrei Arlovski is my all time favourite, Mirko Cro Cop, Vitor Belfort, Rich Franklin, Alistair Overeem (machine). They're all people I'd like to fight like, ha.

I used to be trained by Mark Bocek, he's not that well known. But he's one of the best Canadian UFC-ers, and is excellent at BJJ. He's in the Xbox Game xD

Wow that's amazing, I know who he is. Yeah, I'd say the clear best UFC/MMA Canadian is GSP, then you've got other guys like David Loiseau, Jason MacDonald, etc. I'm probably missing some out.
The UK doesn't have loads of well known fighters really, Paul Daley is one of the best UK guys who's debuting at UFC 103 on the prelims. There's some good ones though, I hope to be among them one day haha. If I train soon in BJJ, the guy I will train under was trained by Vitor "Shaolin" Ribereio (sp?), a top 10 LW guy I'd say, fought in some good promotions, but then again not hugely well known.

I think it's quite interesting to watch, I do practice martial arts myself although I don't practice cage-fighting or such. I tend to watch some WEC and UFC, perhaps another brand if it's on I'm not picky. I have watched some of Kimbo Slice's and Bas Rutten's fights on YouTube from time-to-time also. I don't have any favourite fighters per say as I'm not a very devoted fan, I just watch it whenever it's on. Sometimes though there are some fights where it's grappling, and I'm a fan of grappling but there's no action being done. I'm also a fan of striking but I haven't seen any fights where there was poor striking or muay thai.

Why the hell isn't Fedor Emelianenko name-dropped?
My favourite fighter by far. I love how he ate a beautiful suplex vs Randleman in Pride and he kept going just to wtfpwn the guy.
Definitively a big OH SHIT moment.

It's a real shame that most casual fans particularly in the US aren't aware of Fedor. I'm also a big fan of Fedor, I did enjoy his last fight against Rogers. But for sure I agree with the Randleman fight, he's come back from some tough fights. Not quite upto par with Rodrigo Nogueira in terms of that, but he's clearly the #1 HW in the world.
So to the rest of VT, been keeping up with MMA lately? I didn't enjoy UFC 105 and 106 too much, I hear that 106 only sold 2/3 of their tickets after Lesnar pulled out of the main event defending against Shane Carwin.
Some MMA news cliffs for anybody that's interested:
-Lesnar has an intestinal 'hole' and will be recovering for a long time, it was unsure whether he'd manage to fight again.
-Due to this, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira will face off against top contender Cain Velasquez in February, the UFC's first trip to Australia for UFC 110. The event will be co-headlined by Wanderlei Silva's MW debut against British Michael Bisping.
-GSP's next title defence will be against British fighter Dan Hardy in NJ, in March (UFC 111).

I'm very aware. We don't have many on an international scale though. Bisping being the most popular, then you have guys like Ian Freeman (when he fought), Dan Hardy, Paul Daley, James Thompson, Paul Taylor and so on. What I meant, is that wrestling isn't introduced here as much as it is in America, where you can wrestle in high school. It can be very hard to find wrestling specific places in England, even if you live in a city, from experience.

I used to fight in the cage. Or at least exhibition, here in my location, under 18 is not allowed in real matches. I have trained BJJ, TSD,TKD, Wing Chun Kung Fu, Muay Thai, Kyokushin, Boxing, and Kickboxing. I hold one belt, because I am not interested in becoming unfaithful to my foundation martial art. I find myself very accomplished with what I do and plus, I got sick of hurting people. I practice the philosophy of martial arts.
