what do you think is the best type of training, weight wise?

do you agree with the HIT training principle such used and approved by bodybuilders such as Mike Mentzer, in his book/s, heavy duty, or 6x Mr Olympia Dorian Yates in his book/dvd 'blood and guts'?

the training style has worked well for them, giving them time to recover and progress all the time. although the method of training, with overloading the muscle with 1 set of extreme weight, taking an 8 rep max, after 2 warmup sets, has been criticised due to how injury prone you can become.

what do you think the best kind of intensity approach is to weight training?

 nah i'm just kidding. just wanted to see how much other people around my age were into training. you're the guy who posted your stats a minute ago in the thread that got deleted?

Honestly I think HIIT is a fantastic thing, Only problem is that 99.99% of people will do it wrong to a certain extent. Either they dont eat enough or get enought sleep or whatever. And they start seeing negative results. It works, people just dont do it correctly..

i guess when you're training the way you are with HIIT, you need the nutrients to grow, and obviously rest is essential in any training program. you are the guy that just posted stats a while ago? i've got similar stats, lifting wise, i'm glad to see other people into bodybuilding as much as i am.

what are your stats?

6"4, around 216lbs, I'm about 11-12% bodyfat. As far as weight goes, my max bench is 275, deadlifted almost 400 (396/180kg), squatted 275x2. How about yourself?

My legs are my weakest, its just so hard to be motivated to work them out..
MY best lift is my low row i can do 360 (180 per arm).

haha yeah, I do like my height though, sucks in terms of R.O.M, can be hard! damn dude, 300 is a very good bench for your age/weight, keep at it! I know what you mean, I've been training legs but but not really been pushing it as much as I could. Haven't squatted in around 2 months ha. That's a strong low row too! Keep at it man, you'll find the motivation from somewhere.

I'd put my default picture from that forum onto this forum in an album (not as default), but I'd kind of feel like a bit of an idiot haha.

Well to start off, theres an old bodybuilding saying that you should eat 1gram of protein per pound that you weight, every day.

Eat clean, but eat atleast 3,000 calories a day.
You should start of with a simple workout routine.
The one that helped me the most was:
Day1:Back,biceps
2:chest,triceps
3:OFF
4:Legs, Abs
5:Shoulders triceps
6:OFF
7:repeat

Just remmeber, dont over train, and dont be scared to slap some weight on the bar.

What is the best way to gain weight if you have a fast metabolism and you can't join a gym?

Do you want to gain weight or do you want to gain muscle mass.

You don't need a gym to increase your muscle mass.

There are lots of exercises that you can do at home that uses your natural body weight to help you gain muscle mass.
