Can being hit in the balls cause serious damage, like becoming sterile?

The testicles are surprisingly very strong. They are made of spongy material in a loose, non-sturdily fixed location. They swing, they move, they are softish. They can take a hell of a beating. It takes a lot more than a ball tap to sterilize you. Now, we all know the feeling of pain and nauseousness, but that should diminish and subside releatively quickly. Should it last for more than, I'd say, 5 minutes, I would get it checked out, immediately. When I say 5 minutes, I don't mean you can still feel it, I mean, you still want to vomit after 5 minutes.

If you're hit hard enough, sure. The testicles are like any other organ, and if they receive serious damage it can impair their function.

If you've been hit in the balls and you're honestly worried, see your doctor to be sure. Probably talk to a parent first, as embarrassing as it might seem. Your dad has the same stuff you have, and you probably won't even have to show him, just explain what the problem is. He might just tell you, "Oh, that sounds normal," and you'll be on your way back to not being worried.

That sucks man. Your balls can take a helluva beating before they become sterile but be careful with them or they will!

With how common ball tapping is a hell of alot more people would be sterile if you could get sterile from a common tap.

If you are hit hard enough yes. But a normal kick, or hit won't do sever damage. :D The chances of being hit that hard are slim though :D
