Em... theres so many great ones! Obviously Saw 1-4, Halloween, movies based on Steven King novels are good.
My first horror film i watch was Jaws when i was a little child so even though its unrealistic i still adore it!

Quarantine ftw.
Halloween (1978)
Martyrs

Quarantine was really fucked up, it was bad. Its scary because what if something like that happened to you and real life and they won't let you out and if you try to escape you get killed. People with rabies ahhh.

Saw (first four ONLY!)
Scream
Final Destination (lol they get pwned every time)
Halloween (before that H20 movie they shat out. Last one was ok.)
Poltergiest (They're heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere)
Friday the 13th (seriously, how could you NOT be a horror fan without seeing these?)
Nightmare on Elm Street (awesome movie series, but it can't top Jason)
Freddy vs. Jason (not an actual series, but was pretty good for horror)

The Shining didn't scare me all that much but it's a very tense movie and pretty unnerving.

Martyrs makes Saw look like a little girl's princess birthday party and to this day I can't sit through the entire thing.

Army of Darkness is also a great one but I'm not sure if it counts, it sorta blends a few genres together and makes fun of horror.

I enjoyed The Haunting In Connecticut but if you saw the episode of 'The Haunting' on the Discovery channel based on the movie before it came out, it won't surprise you much. It's basically the same thing with better effects and actors and minimal commentary.

Videodrome.
That's some fucked up shit in that movie. That's what makes it so good. I guess it's a mix of horror, scifi and mystery.

I think some people would probably just stop the movie 15 minutes into it because it's that fucked up.

I liked Martyrs.

I love horror movies, but it takes a heck of a lot to even slightly scare or freak me out. Most horror movies don't phase me.

Is that the Japanese "torture porn" movie that got banned from being released in the UK? Or I might be thinking of a different film.

I'm surprised nobody has mention the human centipede.

Is it really sick and twisted that I find that film to be quite funny and amusing? Wait, no one answer that...
