what do you do after you have used a taser on someone? because in police shows it always shows the person being tasered and then it moves on the the next clip of them being dragged away in handcuffs. so do you pull the darts out? call paramedics? what happens? also, if your a private owner of a taser (meaning not law enforcement affiliated) and you use it on someone, should you call the police and paramedics?

Generally you don't call the paramedics unless of course something happens, such as the person's heart stops, if the suspect has a nasty injury, etc... . They remove the taser darts though after the handcuffs are put on the suspect.
If you own a taser, then calling the police is up to you. Ideally, it's a weapon for self-defense so if someone attacked you or someone else and you used it on them, you can call the police to have them arrested. You'd only call the paramedics for the same reasons given above.

If a person is armed/breaking the law and the police have the methods to stop them eg. a tazer or mace spray then they should use it.
They will have their own guidelines to follow when deciding to use one etc.

A very interesting video of a woman getting tasered. I find it quite disturbing, hearing her scream and everything.

I love the irony of me finding this thread after educating myself on Police Brutality.
From what I have seen, it is actually a medical process to remove the probes. I think generally, paramedics are not called but in some instances they are.
When they get back to the station I believe they go under some medical checks and such.
The fact is a taser is dangerous. Its electrocuting you with 50,000 volts.
If you do that to someone you need to call an ambulance to make sure they haven't sustained mental, physiological, nerve, heart complications, etc
That was one cool vid bro.
How was that cool?!
That was horrible.
Can you imagine the pain she was going through???
I think you need to go for a round to realize...

Have you ever heard the exaggerated screams from child-birth too? Yeah.
Tasers are designed to give minimal pain whilst limiting the use of several muscles in your body that control your movement.

It is NOT electrocuting you with 50,000 volts.
The initial charge of the taser BEFORE it makes contact with a conductible body is 50,000 volts, but the millisecond the gun senses the probes have contacted the target, the voltage drops to 1,500 volts.

If you are a civilian owner of the taser, you are to shoot it, drop it, run, and call the police. When you get your police repoty, you send it to taser international and they send u a new one for free.
As for law enforcement us, they can usually remove the probes on site after the suspect id in custody.
Tasers dont usually cause pain, after you are tase u usually only feel a little tingling which will go away soon. It just limits your muscle control.

it is not a medical process to remove the darts all you have to do is pull then out while wearing gloves it does not even hurt (or bleed) and a taser does not "electrocute you" and it is not 50,000 volts by the time it gets to you and tasers have NEVER caused a death despite what the media says here is a life lesson don't believe everything you hear in the news.
Sorry for the rant
