Sometimes, not with all cuts though. Proper cuts that scab or leave a mark for a bit, grazes don't unless they're on, new, raw skin. I'm not a doctor though so this is just my opinion/experience.

I agree with Darkness on this. But my experience with scarring isn't the best cause I scar far too easily.

I was always told that if you pick a scab and it bleeds then the scar will be worse. Maybe i was only told that so i wouldnt pick.
I think it really depends on how deep the cut was.

Do you want them to?? If the negative attention is really what you desire, there are other ways to go about it.
If you don't want them to.. Hey, don't cut yourself!!
Both solutions are extremely simple and completely pain free, I know, I know, I'm a genius! :)

i third that(although he's made another account) and in case he decides to look here, i didnt ask for the negative attitude, i asked so next time i want to pick, i can motivate myself not to by thinking do i really want a giant ugly arse scar there? not for the reasons you put

Matty if you pick the scabs they are more likely to scar. Just because you dont pick the scab doesnt mean it wont scar. IT still has a possibilty of scaring. But well done for the resisting!

When you pick scabs you are increasing the likelihood of getting an infection while making the wounds deeper. This leads to a higher more likelihood of scarring.
Hardly rocket science.

I agree with a majority of these posts. I've always heard they scar if you pick at them. But also believe it depends on the depth, size, and how much you pick at it.

a deep cut of mine healed without a scar, but a shallow one scarred. it really depends, but if you pick it, it will scar.
