can someone please help me. i have so much pent up anger, i hate myself and everything i do, i hate my dad especially right now i want to beat him to death with a hammer. i just need some tips on how to deal with anger in a calm way. usually i will just put a chair infront of the door and hyperventilate until i calm down or black out. but that seems unhealthy so i needs somthing new.

Punching bags, self reassurance, any activity that can calm you outwordly; sports, walking, computer, sleep x.x etc
If stuff like that doesn't help you need some professional help, if you can get angry enough to just lose it; as in it all goes black and when you come out of it you have no idea what happened - seek help asap

music man music. it has helped me through so much. just lock your door and blast whatever music matches your mood. for example if I'm really fucking pissed off or depressed I play evanescence or disturbed.

I don't know if you're into sports and whatnot, but running always helps me. Although I wouldn't recommend lifting weights if you're angry, you might try to over do it and hurt yourself.

I have a problem related to this, only I don't hate myself. When I get angry, I try to focus on why I'm angry, and a way to fix it that doesn't involve killing the other person. If I can't do that, I walk away from the person I'm mad at so that I don't hurt them, and I punch a wall. I'm not telling you to punch a wall, this is a form of self harm, but if it there is nothing else around, and it's the most convenient thing, shit happens. Punching bags are nice things to have, buy one, a small one even, and hang it up, and when you get mad, let it roar. Sitting at the computer and discussing things on forums can help as well.
I wish you luck.
Blessed be.

Flinging stuff, punching something (soft, wouldnt want to harm your self) weight lifting, something that might wear you out, also if your angry at your parents ask them to not go near your room and chill out a bit in there, i find it i get pissed off (if already angry) when my parents talk to me while im in my room. But i never get angry anymore, not as much to have a tantrum. I dont recommend video games, it can raise your anger alot if you are already angry, expecially multiplayer games.
