I know for many it still seems along way away. I now many peple have expressed there concerns with ccars and hiding them. But I still wanted your advice.
When we go back 2 school our school will most likly be doing gym and dance and have to wear leoytard which means showing the scars on my arms. luckly i'll get out of a few things as I have a note from the doctor about my back.
THeres also food tech where we have to take our jumpers off.
This worries me as my scars are on my arms and i can't seem to find away out of not taking my jumper off.
Anyone have and sugesstions or been in this situation before.
sorry is any spelling mistakes

I understand this situation very well. it's very difficult to get around sometimes, the previous comment from samus493 is a very good suggestion! and if that doesnt work, then i know it may be hard but you could take your teacher asside before the class and just tell them the situation? i dont mean like the details or anything, just let them know so they dont pressurise you into anything? i hope this helps a bit, good luck x

yeah i agree with everyone here,
and maybe talking to the teacher would be best. just ask them to wear a long sleeve shirt instead. i dont think they will argue too much. and for gym i just wore a hoodie and shorts. my coach didnt say anything.
hope things work out for you! (:

Just going to reply to all of these at once. and its all very useful. but I can see problems with wristband and arm warmers. my schools very strict on thoses kind of things. grrr.. our school only has short sleves shirts as the logos on the poket. So many of those are out the question.
I surpose the easiest would be to tell them but I have no idea wht I would say. My food tech would be easier to talk to as he's my form tutor. As i said I don't now what i would say to them with out them going of to head of year etc.
thanks for the ideas though

Hmm...
Are you not allowed to just roll your sleeves up instead of taking the whole jumper off?
You could try a wrist support bandage. Just say you have hurt your wrist badly so you need to keep it on. You could wear a white long sleeve top under the short sleeve shirt. Im sure you will get away with that unless your school is very strict.
You could always lie to the teachers about how you got the scars. They could be cat scratches or a from a bad accident that happened when you were little and its too hard to speak about :)
People might not even notice the scars. Remember that you will notice them far easier than anyone else. If someone does mention them then i just say something vague and mumble something like "Its from the time when i accidently...(then sort of trail off and notice something about them e.g new hairstyle, their cooking. Just try to change the subject. Often people will forget about the scars if they get a chance to talk about themselves.)
Good luck. =]

NIghtfighter- We have to take our jumpers of 'cos it will get to hot'. We are only allowed short sleve t-shirts on underneath.
I have though about leaving them. but my sister is in the same class and is bound to notice also with wearing a banage. grr. shes my twin .btw.
I have left them befor and some one asked about them and knew wht i did as they had experence.
thanks for the ideas.
still wondering what to say to teachersso i can keep jumpers on in both classes. Any ideas?

I have been in this situation before, and I learned that scars are part of the past, yes people might judge you, but so what? Let them judge. I know it can be embarassing, i have a couple scars to. But i usually dont even wear anything to cover them because it dosnt matter what people think of you, only what u think of yourself.
And if you dont want to do that you can always buy a long sleeve shirt. Say that your cold, buy a thin jacket if u usually run hot. Its really hard trying to hide scars forever.
Hope i helped you

If it is just scars then do what i decided to do and say fuck the rest and dont cover em up. I feel like people are staring at them sometimes but ya know what. they are from the tough times in my life and now they are a part of me so if they dont like them then they dont like me and i can deal with that. Dealt with 9 years of bullying (not in the best way) and i'm leaving in 2 years so fuck them. I know its a battle i have won so i wont be dragged down. I will be tempted but who isn't?

After reading Apollyon and dreamless speach and there say it made me realise that what there saying is true and i think I may try that but My 'Form' is the reason why i started as of bullying. and my not go through with it. I'll have to wait till the time. come but all you guys helped but my mind at ease.
I don't Have the most nicest reputaion in my class and most will most likely think i'm trying to kill my self. So yeah Aaron.I think your right. I don't think it will matter really as I can't really change what they think of me.
Though lets hope they don't tell a teacher or a teacher in one subject or another sees.

thats a good attitude, if anyone asks or comments or tries to rile you, ignore them, cos you know your better then them.

If you do just let your scars go uncovered then believe me the feeling is Amazing! After hiding them for so long it really feels great and you do stop caring. It gave me more confidence and i stopped really hating my scars. I just accept them. As said above. They are a part of me now. I made them so i dont think its anyone elses business. My pain, my scars, my skin. No one else fits into this.
