Well from what my friends have told me they say that sometimes they get nervous before they have sex because they might not know what to do or they are wondering what the other person may think of them. Probably the same thing when you ask a girl out you get nervous.

I haven't because I haven't had sex but I think even if you were nervous and worried about it, you'd still be able to maintain an erection if you were turned on. If you are nervous, perhaps you should discuss this with whom you are going to have sex with and make sure that you're both ready for it and understand what you're doing in full detail.

As Zach stated above, sex is a big move so it's normal to be nervous when you're first going into it. Once you're more experienced, that will go away because you'll know what you're doing when you go into having sex.
