About 2 days ago I got eletricuted by my PC (I was attempting to insert a hard-drive whilst the computer was switched on...Stupid, I know).. I was on the floor for 1 whole minute before I could move again, which is the most frightening experience I've ever had, especially since I was home alone for the next 2hours.... The this is, I can't stop thinking about it, and wanting to do it again, It hurt like hell but there was a strange tingling it left for about 4 minutes after, I've screwed my PC together and am using all of my self-will to not open it again and do it on purpose. But it's getting harder...

I posted here because I wanted t ask something.. Anyone who is addicted to anything or knows someone who is... Do you think I am becoming addicted to electricuting myself. I have removed all metal rods from my room, but I work online on my PC (Yes legally) So I can't remove it from my room! besides, I'm getting some more decks for my birthday, about 6 weeks now... when they're set up, what then??

Please help, I'm realy realy scared.

Well.. I know what a rush electricity is. I'm MAJORLY addicted to Static xD
But this kind of electricity is deadly. You obviously know that, because your scared.
Follow your gut and don't do it again. A human body can only take so much self-harm. Electricution can fry nerves, burn your skin, or even cause mental problems.
Try your hardest to resist your urges. Stay out of your bedroom unless necessary if you can.

Electricution is NOT.. fun.
A school near me had their baseball team outside, and a bolt of lightening hit the field, three people got electrocuted and died..
So please, please, Try.

You might be addicted to the adrenaline your body secereted when you got shocked. If that's the case, there are safer ways to get an adrenaline rush: sports, kissing a girl, tonnes of different things.

When you take drugs (illegal ones for the sake of this argument), parts of your brain control the pleasure you get from them. In the case of you electrocuting yourself, you probably also activated the same pathways and got some pleasure along with a nice rush of adrenaline from it. In no way does this indicate you're an adrenaline junkie as everyone who did that would get the adrenaline pumping sky-high and some pleasure or feelings of tingling would result. Another possible reason for the pleasure is a result of endorphins kicking in while you electrocuted yourself.

So I don't think you need to go out and about to get your adrenaline going sky-high again. Just take it as a warning that although it may have felt good, you may damage yourself doing it again or you may fry your computer again.

The reason you're probably wanting to do it again is because you probably haven't experienced something to that degree before.

PS. Adreniline junky is probably a good term for me... 2X540 Watt speakers, pumping out gabber at a ridiculously high volume... Me stood infront of it... Luuush, my fantasy-come-true.. :L but yer, feild partys are awesome,. just don't do drugs! ;):D;) keep it clean
