When I look at one of my sporting heroes in particular, I've probably got half a dozen, but this one has undergone one hell of a transformation. I realise I'm going through a similar transformation, I feel like I can relate slightly. The thing is with mine, is that it's on going and I'm no way near the end.

Ditto :) I for one do know quite a bit about how it is for you, and yes it isn't gunna release all pain and solve all problems, but simply talking to people helps :)

If we had no doctors, people with problems would have no-one to talk to. Doctors don't just solve physical problems, they also help and comfort people who are depressed, suicidal and the such. To hate doctors is stupid, especially to me as my dad is one and im on track to studying to be one. Although for the minor issues doctors seem useless and irritating, but for the major things like cancer and support for those who are terminally ill, i have seen the effects a doctor can make by simply talking to the person

My personality has changed. I'm irritable, get bouts of anger and experience extreme highs and lows. Yesterday for a few hours was an extreme high, three-four days ago I had two extremely low days. Now, what seems like another low day. After realising that time after time, there's prospects for me out there and I can't take up the opportunities right now and achieve my potential. My social life has been ruined, my work life has been ruined and my confidence, self esteem and faith have been knocked back quite significantly.

I can't escape this for one day, can I? The days where I believe there's light at the end of the tunnel are becoming fewer. That light is becoming smaller. My faith is getting lowered as is my patience. I'm truely in a bad situation I can't get out of. For now...

Tonight I had another huge problem at home and I left. The issues I have are really coming to a head now and I don't feel like my family can help me anymore. I walked a huge distance and sat down listening to music by the sea. I don't really feel any better, just no energy, but I haven't eaten all day anyway as it is. I want to go to sleep and forget this day ever happened. I feel very alone, even isolated

Tonight I swam 110 lengths of a 20m pool. I've never really swam properly before for a club or recreation wise. I'll start regularly. It's not about your shape, I'm in good shape, but it's about how much heart you have. This goes for life in general, if you want to achieve something, you can. Knowledge is power, it's how you use your knowledge in every day life that dictates how successful you can become in any area you wish to. Don't quit, when I wanted to quit I went harder. Do the same.
