I think you should consider her feelings a bit more.

She feels overwhelmed by the relationship; it's not her fault that she feels uncomfortable with everything, you need to understand that she may not be feeling uncomfortable with you personally - more rather the relationship at hand instead. For some people, relationships can be quite a hard and serious thing to emotionally take on board. A more deeply sincere type of relationship can actually be a hard and very different thing to cope with for some people.

I understand you're at a low point, but lets look at things properly; she has already explained that she loves you as a brother. To her, that would mean everything. You must be worth so much to her if she's told you this! I can guarantee a girl would never say something much like that if they didn't truly mean it. It's not as if this girl has just ditched you in the most careless, awful and nasty way possible - in fact, it's very much the complete opposite.

Love shouldn't be your primary focus at your age; the right girl will eventually come around. You just need to relax and quit stressing over the matter. Also, good for you for devoting your concentration on achieving a successful career.

Nick you aren't an idiot. It's good that you want all your friends to be happy, I do to. I would never despise you and you shouldn't feel frustrated that you can't help me or others all the time, you aren't superman or God or whatever. Love either solves all problems or creates them all, there's no doubt about that. For a while, I didn't have any problems, now they've all come back. But I always have you to turn to, I know that's a big burden I put on you and I'm sorry for that, but you always know the right thing, so don't blame yourself if things don't go to plan for a person, you can't control everyone's lives and make them perfect simply by a few words of wisdom, but you certainly have a massive impact on that person, which I know for sure

I don't know if I worry about things too much at night, but having the same problems (anxiety) I seem to sleep loads too. Saying that I'm on a sedative anti depressant, so I'm sleeping like 11-12 hours a night easily. The odd night I've had 13-14. I still wake up exhausted, and I'm still exhausted throughout the day...
