People have different views on mutual masturbation. Some find it to be enjoyable and recommend it to others, however some have bad experiences with it destroying friendships etc.

I don't think how far developed he is really matters in this scenario but rather about how much you trust him and how close you two are as friends. If you don't trust him much, and you're not very close it's probably not a great idea because it will cause awkwardness and you may be worried that he'll tell someone. However if you do trust him and you're both very close than it probably won't be a problem, but it still might...

In many cases it does ruin friendships and it's certainly a shame when that does happen however it's up to you really. Make sure he's keen on it to and don't force it upon him otherwise it's more likely that he'll avoid you afterwards.

I've done it partially with a friend, and we were both fine with it. It was a bit awkward at first, of course, but we got over it. We promised each other we'd try it again next time we had a sleepover.
