and without thinking i put hand sanitizer on my hand. It stung. Alot. I wanted to do it again, but I wouldnt let myself. It was just the relief it seemed to bring. It seemed to make everything I felt fade away. Its made me want to cut again. Cut and put that on it because it hurts more. Alot more. Then maybe everything thats on my mind will just slip away for a while. I'll get some peace. I'll be free for just that small amount of time. I know deep down I dont want to cut, I know its wrong, I know it wont solve anything. I know it will hurt my friends if they find out. But then I just keep thinking I dont care if its wrong, I dont care if it wont actually solve anything, and what they dont know wont hurt them.
I'm so tired of fighting the urge. I want it to stop. I need the emotional pain to stop. Even if its just for those seconds. I need it to stop....

i luv the feeling of hand sanitizer on a cut. i used to pick the scabs from bug bites and put it on....Dont cut tho! its not right i no how u feel but plz do not cut. once u start its hard to stop again. Also after a while of putting hand sanitizer on, you'll loose the feeling and it scars. pm if u wanna talk :)

yeah today i scratched my leg on some concrete (i'm a klutz) and it started bleeding, i was too lazy to wash it, i loved the feeling. However, I'm in a good place right now so im trying to forget it and resist the urge to go back to cutting :) and i hope u can put that experience behind you too :) but atleast u are aware that its not the answer and are trying to stay strong

Love, you are so much better then resorting to pain for pleasure. You're a strong, beautiful person and you're loved dearly.
The pain will stop eventually, but you can't hurt yourself because you know as well as we all do that it's just a temporary high.
You're strong, and I know you can do it. It's hard now but it will get so much easier.

Thanks everyone, Nat, I know its hard to stop again, I've relapsed before. But I'll have a hard job starting again tbh, seeing as my razor is in a dumping ground somewhere, miles away.

The pain from hand sanitizer on an open cut might feel good to some people but can also be dangerous as it can kill the good bacteria and also if you do it to much you could get alchohol poisoning from it so i wouldn't recomend doing it.

After you cut, try urinating on yourself (serious)
It stings, but it also steralizes the cut

Even though urine is technically sterile and some say it has sterilising properties, it's still not the best idea.

If wounds do need sterilising the best thing to do is to rinse the area very well to make sure it's clean and then use alcohol-free sterilising wipes if possible.
