has any one also noticed that allot of guys are posting in the girls only section and girls are posting in the guys only section

doesn't that sort of defeat the point of having separate and mixed forums because if it is we might as well make one big mixed forum

No, guys can post in the girls section and girls can post in the guys section. Having different forums just makes the questions more gender specific any body can post as long as it's on topic and helpful.

Well damn, I have now though. I'll apologise for the lack of moderating shall I?
Tbh, if a guy wants to ask a girl a question it should be put in General, and vice versa.

He's got a point though. the way the description is worded is a bit confusing

" Puberty For Girls (5 Viewing)
The puberty forum for GIRLS ONLY. The only sexual questions permitted are sex-ed questions."

Sounds like guys can't post at all.

Agreed. When I first joined, I was under the impression I couldn't even look inside the topic, let alone post in it. Maybe a revision to the description is needed?

Its mainly to serve as a deterrent and limit the number of guy and girl posts as much as possible.

No. Seriously. If VT did this, a lot of info might have been lost. Both guys and girls are qualified to be smart, I mean duuuuuuuuuuhhh.

Anybody can post anywhere. However, questions TO the opposite sex should go in the General puberty forum.

I think the reason GovTeen doesn't allow the people to post in the opposite sexed forums is because there's so many people, so it's impossible to say "please post your questions to girls here" or to move ALL of those topics. Plus, they have way more girls, so their girls section is all covered.

Originally, we DID have only one forum for puberty. But it was ONLY boys stuff, not because we wanted it that way, but because girls just don't ask that many question about puberty. Because of that, the forum was flooded with boys asking questions, and therefore it seemed really unwelcoming to girls.
We are not going to combine the forums again and make the same thing happen.
