Yesterday I was tuning threw the stations when I hear this song on a mainstream pop station. It's this song called Might Like You Better by Amanda Blank , I would post the lyrics but my computer blocks those things  can someone post them please.
Once it's posted you'll probably understand what I'm saying but still read on.
I am not saying that all songs are like this but the new generation is growing up with these songs that just influences them to want to jump into bed at a young age. Back then if they did talk about sex they wouldn't make it as noticeable and it'd be nice and subtle. But nowadays it doesn't seem to really matter, sexual things are also displayed in music videos a lot too.
It seems like if the songs don't talk about drug use, sex or profanity it won't make the cut. I know that that's not completely true because there are some genuine songs out there. Yesterday my little sister was singing Birthday Sex... We never play that around her but just by listening to a radio station she picked that up.
It'd be better if songs were fresher and more orginial nowadays
*Don't get me wrong though they're are great songs out there*

Might like you better if we slept together x 2
I might like you better baby, lets get together baby
Wanna hold you, get to know you
Show you what I got in my sweater baby
Love the red hair, the ***** in charge
And if you settle for a little maybe we can see stars
Get large, get hard, go ****, go far
When I touch it, watch it, **** it, see my money and my I.I.I.I
I might like you better baby, lets get together baby
Wanna hold you, get to know you
Show you what I got in my sweater baby
Love the red hair, the ***** in charge
And if you settle for a little maybe we can see stars
Get large, get hard, go ****, go far
When I touch it, watch it, **** it, see my money and my I.I.I.I
Ride no lie just get inside me
Like you better if you just ride me
Grind me, try me, watch me finish
I like you better if you get up in it
Might like you better if we slept together x 4
I’m no waiting on ya, don’t take to long
Don’t waste my time, just take me home
I got something for you, believe its sweet
Lets go, I moan like a cat in heat
Go, go, go, go let low and blow
Let me give you something to grab and hold
Wanna know how you go
I catch you though
Cheap, cheap, damn trick
Get off the floor
Cuz yay baby, I got what ya need
Don’t **** with them chicks, just **** with me
When were down we can quit it, we don’t need to go together
Just let me hit it once and let me hit it once and under….
I might like you better if we slept together x 4
Just take me home (break down) x 4
Mainstream music has always sucked, no pun intended, for one reason or another.

Most "X-Rated" music has the warning on the label

It is a parents responsability to check what their child is listening to and act on that, not the music industries

Sex sells.
Anyways, there's always been songs about sex, old and new, subtle and in-your-face. If a parent doesn't want their kids listening to those kind of things then maybe they should monitor their kids more. Personally, I don't mind it but that's just me. Blaming sexual songs as the reason why kids go out and have sex is like blaming violent songs as the reason for school shootings. Kids and teenagers especially, should know that just because a song mentions sex in it, that doesn't mean they should be having it. If someone really is that impressionable to go out and have sex after hearing something on the radio, well then they're just stupid.

Brokencyde is a very dirty band but they aren't mainstream. They're CrunkCore and thier lyrics are much worse. I like them and I dont think it's influencial really. It's like saying violent video games make kids wanna use guns and shit. I just dont think it's influencial. But I agree, fresh music would be nice

My class went on a trip to Pennsyvania (spelling?), we went to this museum about disasters. There was one that caught my eye though, their was a 14 year old that killed himself after listening to Antichrist superstar by Marilyn Manson. I not saying that music causes all these things just stating that music has a big influence on certain children nowadays. What sebbie said was true though more parents should know what they're children are doing and listening too. It's really not the music industries fault. If the mother of that 14 year old knew what was going on then maybe it could have been avoided. I am not saying it's the music's fault, the child's fault or even the parent's fault but music is influential in most children's lives.
I listen to music some music I wouldn't want my sister to listen to and it doesn't make me want to jump off the walls but some children are easily influenced.

Hehe, this thread reminds me of a Radiohead music video.
But I agree with you Alex... The amount of sex in songs/music videos (especially mainstream ones) is ridiculous nowadays... Look at the music video for I Gotta Feeling by The Black Eyed Peas... It's a great song, but the video doesn't need so much sex appeal in it, because the song doesn't necessarily have to be a reference to sex (though that could be an interpretation of it).

you call that X-rated... listen to "suck my dick - Dickheadz (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bML3wRTATWg&feature=related)" Or Tie me up - Lisa pin-up (not on youtube but the main lyrics are: You wanna strike me? You know you could Tie me up and do whatever you want with me.. I have no rope.. you are no wrong.. I never charge money for something that, I myself, find pleasurable) or even Please fuck me - BK (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kU51XOIerhI&feature=related)
