I was curious. Does punching a wall count as SI?

Yes, it does. By punching a wall you are causing yourself harm and most probably due to overwhelming emotions that you can't vent safely.

Well if it was impulsive, I think even non-self harmers all punch a wall at one point in their lives.

If you thought about doing it though, that's kind of... bad.

I broke my hand because i was so angry and i punched a wall, it was painful :(
Mind you thins was befor i started to SH.
Try not to do it again, it is quite trickey trying to get away with it at the hospital!!!
