Yes folks, it does exist. After years of misguided script kiddies thinking they could impress companies by breaking into their networks and pointing out their flaws, suceeding only in getting arrested and annoying people, the industry created a legal way for individuals considering post secondary education to study hacking.
Heres my question: do any of you know anyone who has, or is studing for this designation?
or
Do you know any real hackers?
(By 'real' I mean someone who creates their own exploits, and doesn't just rely on other people's stuff.).
First, let me say kindly that I can google with the best of them; but I'm not looking for the kind of info you can get from a txt file or online article. I'm hoping to hear from someone who's really 'in the know'.
I want to know if the EH certification is actually worth it... if they teach you useful things, or if it's a bunch of stuff I could pick up in hacker forums. (Insidentally, if you know of any good hacker forums, I wouldn't mind hearing from you. I only know of one half-way decent one.)
So, what say you VT?
