Pink eye

Ok so today my eye has been really red and i've gotten eye boogers in it alot (that's what my 10 yr old cuzzin called them and I thought it was cute). Is it pink eye and how will I know if it is. Usually my contact makes my eye red but when I took them out they wernt better. Thanks

I highly doubt anyone here will know.
I would refrain from touching your eyes or rubbing them.
