My voice has been cracking for almost a month now, and I have notice it changing. Will my singing voice sound better after it finishes deepening? I am 14, so how much longer will this go on for?

Hardly... 90% people lose their voice after it mutates.. I could sing really well when I was younger, now I can't at all :D

It depends. The Simpsons showed that it can go haywire (but it was a 3 second crack), but for some others... you can get into opera. I just use mine for intimidation, though.

Wish you luck on singing.

It's really really hard to tell when anything in puberty will finish. Voice cracking can take months. Singers know that the voice box/singing voice doesn't actually mature until your 30's!

As far as singing voice sounding better, everybody's voice is different. Even some twins I know have different voice ranges (girls, alto, soprano).
You know that it will sound more manly and more appropriate for your gender because it will deepen. But quality comes with training and natural gift.

voice cracks does not equal good voice quality.
Actually, it might be a little more difficult to control the voice at the beginning of your voice cracking, because the vocal cords are growing, and your brain has to develop its way of controlling it (which is WHY your voice cracks - your brain has a hard time controlling something so new).
This is why many singers need and utilize training.

that may be because of reasons stated above.

.

Completely agree with this.

I used to sing a lot when I was in primary school. After my voice started breaking, I lost my singing voice altogether. I've got the main body of it back now but I find it hard to control it and keep it steady.

@ OP, as has been stated, there's no way we can give you a definite answer. For some people, their voice will not change much during puberty. For some it will change a lot, be it in a good or bad sense. The only way you'll find out if you do keep a good singing voice is just to be patient.

I have sang me whole life, and sang well, been in showes and performances. during a bout 3-4 months when i was 13 my voice changed which made sining almost impossible, but for me i still sing fine, the only differnce is its lower so my range has changed but it only changed slightly i can still hit most of the high notes i could before, so dont worry you will be fine i think most of them time if you could sing before you can sing after

at first no. when ur done with ur voice cracking. it will be hard, but u will feel more comfortable with it. i went through the same type ( kinda) of problem. my voice hasnt eally changed. im 16. i still sing high (tenor 1 and 2), but not as high as i used to. so, when ur done, u voice should be good. cnt promise better.

Might be. I never could sing until my voice deepened. Now I'm a bass-baritone and can sing.
