When The Dark Knight came out there was a lot of discussion about which Joker was better: Jack Nicholson's or Heath Ledger's.
After some research, I've discovered that DC created many versions of the Joker.
Jack Nicholson's Joker was one of these versions created by DC. Also, the most consistent "fact" about the Joker across the different versions is that he is driven insane after falling (tripping or being pushed by Batman) into a vat of acid which was also contained in Jack Nicholson's story.
Heath Ledger's, on the other hand, differs from all the other versions of this character as he is the only one that uses make up to make his face white.
If we were to look again at the characters with this knowledge in mind then, I think, Jack Nicholson would win because of the accuracy of the portrayal of his character as per DC comics.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
