Hey guys, I am starting my first year of High School, I did very bad at finding girl friends in Junior High and am hoping I can do better this new big year. I'm not sure why I did so bad, think it was because I was a little shy.
Anyways, i'm looking for advice, so I am having a feeling that there is going to be A LOT of girls going to the school i'm going to. I want to make a huge first impression on a lot of them that way i'm not all lonely like Junior High. What should I do, should I just go up to a girl I think is attractive and be like "Hey, hows it going, my name is Chris"? I am really bad at this and am hoping I can do a lot better. Should I ask for her number the first day, what? Also for some reason, all of the girls I do like say "I think of you as a friend", or "You got me to the friend stage, i'm sorry". Please help me VT members, life really sucks right now and i'm hoping to make it better.

do not make any moves girl wise.
Walk tall and straight, with confident steps.
If a girl meets your eyes, smile and say hi, AND KEEP WALKING. Unless she starts a conversation.
Do not look back when u pass them.
Look clean, and smell good.

Why not go and talk to them? I'm not trying to make them think i'm too shy to talk. if she gives me a look can I go up and talk? or just say hi while walking by?

say it confidently, not shyly or creepy.
and u dont want to seem desperate thats why u dont go talking to them yet.
before u try anything, u want a status.
not the "omg that guy started talking to me, and i dont even know him. it was so creepy" status.
something that will leave them wondering who you are.

Hmm, interesting. I understand. Okay so let me get this straight, the first day I just walk tall, and any girl that looks at me I say a simple "Hey"? When should I actually talk to them and make a conversation? Don't want to be the lonely sailor again, I mean I have guy friends but I do want a girl friend this year.

If a girl asks you a question, answer it truthfully (or lie if you have Psyche-Locks... or just want it to be secret) after saying Hello to them if they look you staright into the eye.
Who knows, you'll get .

its not really a great idea to lie (been there, done that) my advice is ALWAY BE HONEST, but in a kind way.

Ahem. I said if you're hiding a deep secret about your past, then you can lie. I've only done it once and that's just to a friend...

Well, i'm always truthful and have lots of confidence talking to girls but my current advice I need is when do I talk to them, so if I see them in the halls or something and they look at me, i'll give them a quick "Hey". Then the next day if I see them do I try to start a convo?

Yeah, you can do that. Or if they make a convo, just talk with them. In a way, it's flirting.

Yah haha, I mean I have a general idea but I just want to make sure. Thanks so much, i'm sure i'll be fine. Is it a lot better than Junior High? I'll be in 10th grade because where I live your in Junior High all through 9th grade and you go to High School for 10th - 12th, but they just recently changed it to where 9th graders are in high school, so I wont be the youngest =)

I'm not in High School or Junior High yet. And plus, I'll be busy fixing the computers from hundreds of viruses... to get myself in a better reputation. Love isn't all you need.
Still, wish you luck!
