yesterday i got pulled into the office of one of the people who work in my group home who informed me that i was moving this friday( from the big town of burlington where i have so many great friends) to the small town of somewhere outside of bradford ontario to a permanent group home. i put this under family and friends because its depressing, im now further away from my father, i was supposed to go away to sudbury this weekend to go visit my aunt and ride her horses, and i have to leave all of my close friends, desi, holly, andrew, etc etc behind and i feel quite horrible. i'm not sure what to do. i knew that this time was coming but i didn't think that it would be so far. what should i do, turn down the placement and wait for a new one, or move on and get a new headstart in life. i just can;t do this
any ideas? :(

well if you have the option to stay with your friends, personally id take it. but change can be a good thing. if your in a permanent group home, you know that once you make friends there you will stay with them. so its keep your current friends for a little while longer or make some new long term friends. whatever you do, you always have VT's support

Change is hard to except, even if it is for the good.
You never know how this will end up, it might be good, it might be bad, but you should be able to work your way through it. We're always here for you too.

I say go for it. It allows you to start over and make a new name for yourself. Adjusting to a new environment might be hard but you're never going to see the world if you're to scared to go.
