Emails?

How do I stop VT from giving me emails because I am getting masses of them which I don't want. I've tried disabling on my user CP but I must be doing the wrong things since I am still getting email. How do I stop it?

I just checked the email account I use to sign up for boards for the first time in ages, and I'm having the same problem. I have my CP set to subscribe to all threads I post in, but with 'no email notification' (which is what I want), but I get -constant- email updates on all threads I've posted to. Over 300 in less than a month!

Is this a glitch, or am I doing something wrong? I want -some- notifications (like when users send me PM's and stuff), but I don't need a running play by play of all the treads I post to! :(

Is this disabled as the default?
Maybe the people who joined in a certain time have this problem because auto-subscribe was the default. I remember it just happened to me, and then Kiros got mad at me, and I was like wtf dude, I didn't even do anything, it just did it on its own.

The problem is that for some reason, the default setting for new registrations, was to have people subscribed to every thread they posted in, by instant email notification. I changed that about a month ago so it won't be a problem for new members anymore.

I -do- want to subscribe to the threads (so I can see them in my User CP), I just don't want email notification on them.

I figured that (and don't mind it at all), but I had just posted in a new thread and it didn't show up.

But (weird) this thread -does- show up in my CP, so I guess it's fixed now! (Maybe I jumped the gun a bit with my last post, sorry.)
