Just a few questions, I wasn't sure where to put them..so yeah.

Do you have/had you had insomnia?
What type?
On average, how many hours do you sleep?
When you don't, how many days do you go without?
How does it affect your day to day routine?
What do you do to help yourself fall asleep/stay asleep longer?

I used to have chronic insomnia and slept about 3 hours a night. I never went without sleep for more than 2 days.
It didn't really affect school or anything.
To help myself get to sleep I would read or imagine comforting situations.

Do you have/had you had insomnia? Had insomnia.
What type? I believe it was chronic but wasn't ever officially diagnosed.
On average, how many hours do you sleep? 7-9+
When you don't, how many days do you go without? 4-5
How does it affect your day to day routine? When you don't get enough sleep you're essentially not at even 80%, everything seems to suffer.
What do you do to help yourself fall asleep/stay asleep longer? For reasons that have nothing to do with insomnia, I take anti-psychotics and they knock me out pretty good.

Do you have/had you had insomnia? i have it at the moment but is gettin better
What type?drug induced/anxiety induced, used to smoke weed before bed everyday, now i have sleeping problems of a 50 year old
On average, how many hours do you sleep? 7 sometimes less
When you don't, how many days do you go without?i sleep every night generally
How does it affect your day to day routine?i lose my mind pretty much, reality isnt there, i can become gay, and be only attracted to men for a while, become straight, with no attraction to men, or become bi, with complete attrction to both, just by convincing myself i am one or the other, this happens when i am low on sleep, otherwise im just straight
What do you do to help yourself fall asleep/stay asleep longer? melatonin pills, benadryl if necessary, meditation, medical marijuana(if you really really really need the sleep), or think about sex, like a really hot girl i know doing stuff with me lets my mind focus on only that so the constant worrying doesnt keep me up

I'm wondering how people who sleep an average of 7 hours a night can have insomnia...

Do you have/had you had insomnia? Yep, not as bad now though.
What type? The never being able to get to sleep kind.
On average, how many hours do you sleep? Nowadays, 4 or 5, which is a lot better than before.
When you don't, how many days do you go without? With no sleep at all, I can manage about 3 days before I collapse, though I've lasted around a month on an average of 3/4 hours per night
How does it affect your day to day routine? More easily wound up, feeling a lot sadder, crying etc (though not as a direct cause of lack of sleep, I think it helped contribute), lack of concentration, fainting (see cause below)
What do you do to help yourself fall asleep/stay asleep longer? I used to take 3 antihistamines a night, really really bad idea, MOST DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED
